Katie took part in the Adoption Initiative’s Eighth Annual Biennial Adoption Conference, which took place May 29 – 31 at St. John’s University in Queens, NY. Presented in collaboration with Montclair State University, the theme of this year’s conference was “Sleeping Giants in Adoption: Power, Privilege, Politics, and Class.” Katie was thrilled to present along with friend and scholar JaeRan Kim on a panel around disability and adoption.
