In June 2019, Katie returned to Minnesota to serve as the inaugural Development Director for Springboard for the Arts, Saint Paul’s groundbreaking arts and community development organization.
Katie will be a guest on Out of the Fog, a podcast out of Montreal, Canada hosted by adoptee Kassaye Macdonald and filmmaker Pascal Huyhn. Out of the Fog focuses on adoption-related questions and stories. The podcast will be aired on February 3, 2017.
Katie will rejoin her friends of the AZ Chapter of National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) to tell their stories at the Japanese Senior Center in Glendale.

Katie took part in another wonderful storytelling evening with local storytellers, this time with The Storyline at The Newton inside Changing Hands bookstore in Phoenix. The event also featured Rachel Egboro, Anna Darian, Evan E. Roberts, Tanya Chakravarty, Annika Cline, and Dan Hoen Hull.
Katie was one of the featured tellers at the AZ Storytellers evening on Tuesday, June 6 at Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix. The theme of the evening was “family.”
Katie will read with author Shawnte Orion as part of District 4’s Third Thursday reading series in Mesa. Reading takes place at Jarrod’s Coffee, Tea & Gallery at 154 W. Main Street, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
